Unfortunately this business took an accidental double-payment to their business and kept the money. Our company is owed over $6,000 and the owner Kevin is not being responsive at all, and made multiple false claims about refunding the money. At one point he mentioned he was driving to our offices to drop off the refund, and never was there. We will be taking this business to small claims court, it is a shame to have to write this review as it seems other customers have had a good experience. But want to caution people that the ethics of this company is not strong. They will be held accountable in court.
When prompted with the Google Review question, "What do you like about this business?" I am struck with the immediate response of "EVERYTHING!" Acclaim came recommended by a friend and when I checked online reviews and saw so many 5 stars, I felt comfortable accepting the extremely reasonable bid for our home. We have a 1940s home and it was finally time to rip out the old galvanized pipes and step into the future! Kevin, the owner, was the plumber to come out and provide us a bid and oversee the entire scope of work. Kevin is very professional, very calm, and an outstanding problem solver. As with most older homes, there are always surprises once you open up walls and floors. Kevin was able to pivot seamlessly and come up with elegant solutions to these setbacks. He also made thoughtful (common sense) improvements to existing plumbing that improves our access and usage. Even with a couple hiccups with the job due to issues with the structure of our home, Kevin completed the job in the time quoted and with the price quoted. After working with Kevin, he has made lifetime clients out of us! One major advantage of working with a smaller company is that you often end up dealing directly with the owner (Kevin), so decisions can happen quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Acclaim and will continue to call Kevin any time we have plumbing needs.
I have used Acclaim Plumbing many times over the years and I have always been satisfied with the work done. Now under new management, I am still a happy customer. I recently had my main water line replaced. The work was top notch and the crew cleaned up when they were done. For two days the guys were on site and patiently explained every detail of the process to me. They even offer a suggestion that saved me money!! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for plumbing work to be done.
I can not say enough great things about Kevin and this plumbing company. I had gone with another company in the past to update the plumbing in my 1904 house, but they were not as knowledgeable or efficient as Acclaim. Kevin brought the plumbing in my finished basement up to code and fixed things the other plumbers had failed to notice. Just recently I had a clogged main line which was backing up into my basement. I called him on a Sunday morning and he came out and assessed the problem, fixed the break in my root clogged pipe which included digging a 7ft hole, and was finished by the evening. All for a very, very reasonable price! Acclaim is my plumbing company for any other plumbing needs I might have in the future.
We have a broken water line on Saturday night. Acclaim show up at the house within an hour after we called. Kevin is very quick and professional. Very reasonable price for after hours weekend service. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for professional plumbing services.
We had sewer line that was full of roots and needed to be removed and replaced. Kevin and his assistant were very efficient at doing the job correctly. Can’t thank you enough! We highly recommend Acclaim Plumbing!
Kevin and his assistant came to our home in Tacoma and installed a new electric hot water heater in a challenging spot in our laundry room on 10/10/18. We were so pleased with his expertise and his kind and patient explanations of what he was doing and how to operate our new-fangled heater. When we were missing a small part necessary for the installation because we didn't know to purchase it, he went out to his vehicle and got just what was needed. He was ready for anything that might occur during the installation, including cutting down the metal legs of the heater table when it was too tall for our situation. He also was very efficient in the use of his time. We will call on him again for plumbing projects. Thank you so much, Kevin!! You're terrific!
Excellent Service. They came out the same day and fixed my shower faucet that would not turn off. He had to cut the wall to fix the problem. Gave me services beyond what he quoted me. And he guarantees his work for 1 year. Price is way better than the companies you see on advertisements.
