Bogman Design & Build

We enjoyed working with Bogman Design & Construction on our backyard cottage. Adrain designed the cottage and had many innovative ideas throughout to keep our project as green as possible, and to keep costs down. He encouraged my interest in working on some of the time and labor intensive tasks myself in order to save money. He was patient and encouraging in teaching me some new skills. Some of the fun repurposed materials in our cottage include bleachers from Ballard High School as interior walls, reclaimed beams in the framing, and old doors as insulation. We are so thankful to have a beautiful, bright, warm office to work in just steps away from our noisy home.

Adrian helped us with our Bathroom remodel - which had been previously messed up by another contractor. He walked us through the many options we had available and was willing to work within our budget where possible. Great ideas on design too ... would happily work with him again

Adrian's done amazing work for us, and he has our unreserved recommendation. Over the past 10 months, Adrian has completed 5 projects for us: foundation repair, external french drain, a new sewer line, a basement remodel, and a new bathroom. All of them were done to exacting standards, and the resulting quality was beyond even our high expectations. He's also laid down the groundwork for a few more projects (new main-floor fireplace and solar water heater). We can also speak favorably about the crew he hires, the quality of his work, and the cleanliness of his job site.

Seattle, WA 8/1/2013 I recently used the services of the company, owned by Adrian Popescu, to replace defective Kitec pipes in my townhome after some of them leaked, flooding the ground floor of the unit. The job was a major one in that it entailed removing and replacing pipes to several heaters on all 4 floors of the unit, including removing and replacing some of the dry wall, repainting the walls in several places at the end of the job, etc. Adrian and his team did an excellent job, leaving the place looking better than was the case when they started, keeping dust and noise to a minimum and working as much as possible at times of days and days when we were out of the unit. He and his workers were all very courteous and respectful, and enabled us to continue to live in the unit with minimal disruption during the work, which all told took over a week to complete. In fact, they all went way beyond the call of duty, repairing a defective leaky water supply pipe they found in the refrigerator (when they had to disconnect it as part of the bigger job) and a leaky water spigot in the water heater room. There were no big financial surprises at the end of the job, with the exception of of the fact that taxes on materials and labor were not explicitly included in the original contract estimate--a point on which we each had different assumptions. In the end, I paid the taxes, as it was clear to me this was not a deliberate misrepresentation on the part of Adrian, but an ambiguity that he will correct in future contracts by explicitly stating that the cost estimate does NOT include taxes. I would definitely use Adrian and his company again, and highly recommend them as not only very professional and competent, but quite personable as well.
