The Technician Cardinal Heating and Air sent to service our two residential heating systems was terrific. Vithli worked efficiently and took photos of areas that may need future attention. He then took the time to show me the photos and explain our system. He was patient and made sure I understood his recommendation. Virthli was careful and very tidy. We would happily request this technician again.

We were very pleased with the attention to detail and the efficiency that Timothy Baker gave us when he came to look at our Cardinal heating system. He couldn’t have been nicer, though his schedule had been quite tight, having us squeezed in at the last moment. We were very grateful that he was the one to come to service our complicated system, and then a few days later to come back with the filters that needed to be changed.We had some filters that needed changing, and a part that was black from soot, since it was on our roof. He replaced both. He was terrific.
I had a plumbing emergency and called around to find the right company. A friend who’s had good experiences with Cardinal Heating recommended them to me. The plumber, Reggie, was fantastic. He was able to come out the same day I called. He knew exactly what he needed to do and he used shop towels and shoe covers and made all kinds of precautions to not damage anything or leave any mess. I swear the house was cleaner when he was done 😅 he was very friendly and considerate. While he was here I asked if he could adjust the water temperature and he didn’t charge me extra to do that. I couldn’t be more thankful for Reggie and Cardinal Heating than I am right now.
We have a maintenance contract with Cardinal to regularly service our heat pump and tankless water heater. This last visit, they sent two great techs. Vitali serviced our HVAC system, and was super thorough, did a great deep cleaning of the system and talked us through the state and future of the system. Reginald serviced our tankless water heater, and was super thorough as well, inspected several components and recommended a preventative replacement schedule to keep the system running well.
Cardinal reception and Reginald were A+! We returned from vacation to find our Navien tankless water heater down and didn’t want to deal with cold showers all weekend. I had called several other plumbing companies that couldn’t get there for a few days. Cardinal reception was kind and very understanding- put me on hold- and was able to arrange for Reginald to arrive within hours. He was knowledgeable, professional and very efficient. Fixed the problem and we were back to hot water.
Please please be warned! Customer service is not a concern with Cardinal Heating & Air. I am not sure if service is a concern either. This definitely how one should NOT run a business. Here is why I claim all of these:
A month ago I had Cardinal come and fix my Furnace. They changed the capacitor on furnace. They charged me $200 for a part that I later found out was $12. A month later I had the same issue that they had fixed. They sent a different Technician. When I mentioned that he should check the capacitor he said that couldn't be the issue and refused to check it. Anyway he later determined that it was the control board that was bad and needed to be replaced. He did not have the part nor the price for me. He told me the office will reach out the day after with a Quote and time line AND charged me for his visit. Two days later they have yet to reach out. I called them 3 times and their customer service told me they are busy!!!!! The only thing the customer service was going to do was to tell them that I called. How nice of them.... Mind you there is not direct number you can call anyone anymore. So I sent them a massage through their website. No WORD so far. Here I am in my house with no heat. Three days has past and no respond, no call, no service!
I promise this review will not get a respond either! I guess because they are BUSY??? Not sure what they are busy for? But they don't have to worry! One day they will not be busy! People will not care to do business with them. Zero Customer service, High prices and Zero results with zero follow ups!
Aaron was terrific. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our heat pump and, although we were sad to learn that we have to replace it, we have great confidence that he was steering us in the right direction. They were also incredibly prompt; Aaron arrived at our home less than two hours after I called And we were able to set up a call the next day to learn our options for replacement. I recommend cardinal highly!
I wanted to provide an update regarding the installation by Cardinal Heating. After several phone calls, I am pleased to report that the installation was finally fixed and completed on December 5th. The technicians who carried out the work were indeed very skilled and did an excellent job with the installation.
However, I believe there is room for improvement when it comes to the office communications. Clearer and more transparent communication about scheduling would greatly enhance the customer experience.

The installation process, which began in September, took multiple days due to several issues. Initially, the wrong size part was brought on the first day, necessitating a second visit. During this follow-up visit, another part was found to be the wrong size, which resulted in yet another visit. Finally, just when I thought everything was completed, I was informed that the air surface purification system was not working and promised that someone would come back to fix it.
Unfortunately, it is now November, and no one has come to resolve the issue. I have called three times and written to them once to schedule the repair, but each time I was transferred to a voicemail and ignored and have yet to receive a response. While I agree that they are excellent for annual service, my recent experience has left me quite disappointed.
