Our goal was to convert our standalone garage into a guest suite that friends and family could use, but still have the utility to store items that belong in a garage, just tucked out of sight as best as possible.
We interviewed several design-build firms to find the right fit for us. Our goal was to find a team that was easy to communicate with, understood our vision, and came in at a reasonable price. From our first conversation with Crescent, we knew they were our team.

I had a very awkward space in my century-old Ballard home with an exposed ceiling and uneven concrete floor. The team at Crescent Builds helped me transform it into a bright, functional laundry/craft/sewing room. They used their creativity and craftsmanship to conceal the furnace, water heater, pipes and wires while making the ducting a design element and adding all kinds of clever storage. The team communicated well throughout, cared about my home, and paid great attention to detail.
Hands down the best contactor/builder experience I've ever had. Everything was done in a timely, expert, well communicated manner and we are thrilled with how it turned out.

We've hired Crescent for 4 house projects, small and large, over 12 years. Projects have included design, construction, and repairs for the interior and exterior. We have been happy with the quality of project management and communication. Even when problems arose because of surprises with our old house or because of some miscommunication between subcontractors, the team was always very quick to give status and provide next steps. The clear communication and being responsive during crucial moments (like when our house had no roof) was worth their somewhat higher costs.
The quality of work on our projects has also been high. When there were problems with the finished work, they have done right to fix the issue. I've recommended Crescent to many of my friends and neighbors.
We've only gone as far as design and scoping work with Crescent Builds currently, but have had very positive interactions with everyone on their team. Despite not being able to proceed with the majority of the work at the time they did assist us in getting a dishwasher installed in our kitchen. Crescent Builds stands out from other contractors I’ve worked with for several reasons. The crew members that have been working in our home are all highly professional, polite, and pleasant to work with. They answer all of my questions clearly and transparently, and they’re always on time- when they say they’ll be somewhere at a certain time, they’re there. It’s amazing how easy and pleasant they are to have around, even in the midst of living through a home remodel. Also, Crescent Builds has an excellent process for getting you from the beginning to the end of a project, and a dedicated project manager that works with you throughout that process with attentiveness and care. Things stay on track and on-budget. Lastly, the quality of their work is top-notch. I use Crescent Builds for all my home remodel and repair needs, and I would highly recommend them to others.
We used Crescent to help us with a small house project and will plan on using them again in the future. We found that they are very good at communicating throughout the different stages of the project and listened well to any issue that we had. They were honest with any complications that arose during construction and followed through with their promises. We had ongoing QA issues with one of the replacement windows and even after the project was completed, they stuck with us to make sure we were happy with the end results.
