Froula Alarm Systems Inc

I have been using Froula for our fire extinguisher inspections for years now! Their office is always super responsive and helpful and their techs and knowledgeable and efficient. They are always my first call when I need to have my annuals done!

I am happy to be a repeat customer having moved from our previous residence to a new home. My experience with Froula installations and ongoing service was excellent so there was only one choice for the new house. In this case, it had a complicated system courtesy of a different installer. I was very pleased with the assessment of the legacy system and the recommended improvements. The installation team took their time to evaluate and explain the existing system, gain my input on the various options that I needed to consider to have the system setup the way I wanted. Then they tagged all the old wiring and delivered a solid system. Froula is my only go to security firm and now that I know they do custom AV installs, we will be working together again soon.

We have been with Froula for over eight years now, and would recommend them to anyone. Much of our neighborhood has gone with Froula as well. From installation through the occasional maintenance and changes, they have always been responsive and professional. They are a rarity in that they are a local, familly-owned operation which makes it much easier to reach out to them for any issues or concerns. We recently had a strange anomaly (not directly related to the Froula equipment) that was causing our system to shut down, and we really appreciated all the effort that the Froula team put in to troubleshoot and correct the problem. They listen and respond to their customers. We look forward to continuing to rely upon them!

They don't perform real inspections. They team up with your landlord to send out officious notices about their mandatory access to every room and closet in your apartment, but then none of that ever happens. They do ten second "inspections" -- I'm not exaggerating -- and then ring the fire alarm excessively (remotely). In fairness, maybe they only ring my particular fire alarm excessively, as retaliation for mentioning that their inspections aren't real.

We had Froula install our burglar system and initially they hooked up our (already existing) fire alarm to it as well. We later disconnected the fire alarm part of it when we discovered that little spiders will crawl in the fire alarm sensors and set it off. Froula is more expensive than other companies, but they do the job properly using wired systems in conjunction with the less reliable wireless systems. Other companies didn't want to comply with our request to install an external siren. Froula was happy to do it and even installed two of them. We are very happy with our system and have been for the 3+ years that we've had it (with the exception of the spider issue). We would highly recommend this company. Suggestions: (1) Get an external alarm as part of your package. The police don't have time to answer every burglar alarm report since 99.5% of them are false alarms. But, they will respond if your neighbors call because they see suspicious activity. (2) Beware of the charlatan companies out there who just want your money. The monthly contract is where they really make their money. You might get a "free" installation up front, but they will get you on the service contract. (3) If you are considering getting an alarm system, DO IT NOW. The largest benefit is that criminals will move on to the next house in your neighborhood--especially if they see a sign from a well respected company like Froula. Even if you can't afford Froula, get SOMETHING. Break-ins are more common every year.

I had a 10 a.m. appointment with Froula to update 6 extinguishers. I ran late and when returned to my office I discovered the Tech had been there and had updated the extinguishers in need!! Lisa, who has been my P.O.C. is always professional and courteous everytime making it a pleasure to work with Froula!!

Highly recommend. Arrived as scheduled. Job was done thoroughly and professionally. Technician tested the system before leaving, to make sure everything was working well. He was friendly and informative.

Very professional and respectful crew. Came in, had a plan, asked important questions to ensure we were satisfied with placement of system/equipment. They were very helpful in the initial setup of the system in our home and on our phone apps. Highly recommended.
